TURKEY DASHThursday November 24, 2011 Avon High School COURSE CERTIFICATION CODE: OH 08051 PR 2011 RACE RESULTS2011 WOMEN BY AGE RACE RESULTS The Turkey Dash, a 5k run/walk is held each year on Thanksgiving morning at the Avon High School in Avon, Ohio. This family friendly event is a great way to show your gratitude for your own health, support a great cause, and work up an appetite for your own Thanksgiving feast. Funds raised from the annual Turkey Dash go directly to women and their families in Northeast Ohio who are impacted by the finacial burden of the high cost of breast cancer treatments. Last year, over $20,000 was raised for the Foundation. The race, held at the Avon High School and winding through the Highland Subdivision of Avon, features over 1400 runners and 250 spectators. Racers, their families, and friends enjoy pumpkin pie, hot cocoa and coffee along with fruit and water at the end of the race. Turkey Dash Medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group and the top male and female finishers are recognized. Turkey Dash medals are awarded to First, Second, and Third place male and female finishers in the following adge divisions: 2-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, ....60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.
